Grape Variety: Garganega
Producer: Angiolino Maule
Region: Veneto, Italy
Wild Scale: 4/5
Vegan friendly wine
Winemaking: Organic grapes (uncertified) grown on volcanic soils were hand harvested and spontaneously fermented with indigenous yeast. No filtration, fining and just a tiny amount of sulphur on bottling.
This Wine: Natural white wine with rich flavours of citrus and a touch of green melon. Strong mineral backbone with a nice touch of funk. Great with fish or a creamy pasta dish. Garganega is the grape used for the easy drinking Soave, but this wine has much more character!
Notes on the Winemaker: Angiolino Maule and his wife Rosamaria have been making wine since the 80s in the town of Gambellara in the Veneto region of NE Italy. Their aim is for an honest expression of terroir in every bottle.
