Winemaking: Biodynamic Blaufrankisch grapes grown on limestone soils were harvested by hand .Fermentation with indigenous yeast. The wine was bottled before fermentation had finished in order to create fizz in the bottle (Pet Nat - ancestral winemaking technique). Bottled with no filtration, fining or added sulphur.
This Wine: Claus' cult classic Pet Nat is back for 2020 with candied cherry and strawberry flavours and a light fizz. Super refreshing with a funky undertone. Delicious!
Notes on the Winemaker: Claus Preisinger hails from the north of Burgenland in Austria and has made quite a name for himself in the natural wine world. His vineyards have been biodynamic since 2006 and he creates lively and vibrant wines.
