Grape Variety: Riesling
Producer: Christophe Lindenlaub
Region: Dorlisheim, Alsace, France
Wild Scale: 5/5
Vegan friendly wine
Winemaking: Organic Riesling grapes were hand harvested before being macerated in whole bunches for 3 weeks. Pressed into stainless steel tanks for fermentation with indigenous yeast. Bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: Skin contact orange wine made from Riesling grown on limestone and clay soils. Amazing abundance of fresh fruit flavours (mainly apricot and white peach for us despite the name!) and a refreshing mineral edge. Never had a Riesling quite like it!
Notes on the Winemaker: Christophe Lindenlaub's family have been making wine in this part of Alsace for over 200 years and the vineyards have undergone organic conversion since 2012. He makes wines full brimming with energy and life.
