Winemaking: Organic Gamay grapes were hand harvested. Whole bunch maceration for 3 weeks. Fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged in old barrels. Bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: Natural red wine with a medium body. Mineral focused with dark, earthy and stewed plums flavours. Complex and best paired with food.
Notes on the Winemaker: Jaufré Mas works for famous winemaker Patrick Boujou by day but makes his own wines on the side. These are produced from just 1 hectare of Gamay d'Auvergne vines spread across 3 plots. Every cuvée shows so much energy and life and they are wines that also have great ageing potential.
