However, the character is still all about fresh fruit. Clean and precise but still with plenty of character. Now he focusses on making wine from his own 2 hectares near his house or from grapes purchased from friends in Burgundy, Beaujolais and even Catalunya. We paid him a visit in 2022 to see his vines and hear how his latest cuvées were shaping up. Richer and more intense that his already amazing white label cuvée. Golden in colour with peach and apricot flavours along with some delicate spice and dried herbs. We kept a bottle back in the cellar for one lucky customer!\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eNotes on the Winemaker: After running his own natural wine bar in Lombardia, Manlio Manganaro moved back to his native Sicily to hunt out a vineyard in the Marsala region of the island. He is now on his third vintage and oversees just 1 hectare of Grillo vines.
