Winemaking: Organically grown grapes were hand harvested, de-stemmed and crushed before 2 week maceration period. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeast in open top barrel. Aged in neutral oak barrel. No fining or filtration. Small dose of sulphur on bottling.
This Wine: A natural orange wine that has been fermented to dry. Precise but full of character with high intensity of citrus and floral aromas.
Notes on the Winemaker: Alwin & Stefanie Jurtschitsch travelled the vineyards of the world before coming to the understanding that organic conversion was essential not just for the sake of the planet but also in order to create the most intense and terroir-driven wines. They currently own 62 hectares of land in Kamptal.
