Winemaking: Organic (uncertified) grapes were hand harvested and crushed by foot before fermentation with indigenous yeast in old, large oak barrels. Bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: A natural red wine, light in body with a perfect balance between high acidity and fresh fruit flavour intensity. Expect pure, dark fruits such as black cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant. Rich but refreshing at the same time.
Notes on the Winemaker: Christian Tschida is a 4th generation winemaker in the eastern part of Austria and is often seen as one of the leading figures in the world of natural wine. His signature approach to his craft involves incredibly light pressing of the grapes in order to extract only the best quality juice.
