Winemaking: Organic grapes were hand harvested and fermented with indigenous yeast. Aged in old oak. Bottled with no fining, filtration or added suphur.
This Wine: A natural red wine, light in body with bright, fresh red fruit aromas and high acidity. A lively Pinot Noir full of energy and personality.
Notes on the Winemaker: Daniel and Jonas Brand hail from Pfalz where they took over their family winery in 2014 to concentrate on fully natural wines (with the exception being Riesling Vom Berg which is more conventional). Their wines are unique, alive and bursting with personality. We visited in 2018 to explore the vineyards and learn the stories that accompany the wines.
