Winemaking: Organic/Biodynamic grapes were hand harvested and fermented with indigenous yeast through a blend of 3 different winemaking techniques; semi-carbonic maceration, whole bunch fermentation and direct press. Bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: Natural red wine that has a light to medium in body with juicy, fresh fruit flavours and a kick of funk and earthiness. There is also an uplifting balsamic vibe going on.
Notes on the Winemaker: The Ménard family produce natural wine in the heart of the Coteaux du Layon AOC in the Loire valley. The 13 hectares of vines have been certified Biodynamic since 2007.
