Grape Variety: Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Carignan
Producer: Domaine du Petit Oratoire (Lori Haon)
Region: Gard, Southern Rhône, France
Wild Scale: 4/5
Winemaking: Organic (uncertified) grapes were hand harvested and fermented in concrete with indigenous yeast. No fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: A natural red wine with light to medium body. Fresh fruit characteristics and no oak flavours. A hint of reduction gives pleasant aromas of struck match. Much more fun than your average wine from the Southern Rhône! The name means "You have pushed the cork too far"...
Notes on the Winemaker: Lori Haon is a talented, young natural winemaker in the village of Valliguières, not far from Avignon who acquired his first vineyard in 2015. He is creating wines with a really fresh and light character which is not always easy in the heat of this region.
