Grape Variety: Müller Thurgau, Chardonnay, Riesling, Weissburgunder, Silvaner, Grauburgunder, Kerner
Producer: Brand Brothers (Daniel & Jonas)
Region: Pfalz, Germany
Wild Scale: 5/5
Vegan friendly wine
Winemaking: Müller Thurgau grapes were fermented in stainless steel and "tea bags" filled with riesling grapes were dropped into the tank. Other grapes all had a short maceration. Bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: Last year's alcoholic lemonade is back but definitely with a twist of tropical on the new vintage. Amazing acidity with huge bursts of fruit and an underlining mineral character. Perfect for summer.
Notes on the Winemaker: Daniel and Jonas Brand hail from Pfalz where they took over their family winery in 2014 to concentrate on fully natural wines (with the exception being Riesling Vom Berg which is more conventional). Their wines are unique, alive and bursting with personality. We visited in 2018 to explore the vineyards and learn the stories that accompany the wines.
