Direct press before fermentation with indigenous yeast in stainless steel. Aged in barrel for 3 years before bottling with no filtration or fining and just a tiny amount of sulphur.

This Wine: Natural white wine with a medium to full body. Brilliant Jura Chardonnay made in the topped up (ouillé) style, so not oxidative. Citrus, minerals and white flowers. A brilliantly balance of power and acidity. Take your time and enjoy with food.

Notes on the Winemaker: Jean-Francois Essler hails from North Eastern France and previously worked as a graphic designer before heading off to Burgundy to learn the ropes of winemaking. He then made the short jump to the Jura where he managed to get his hands on an old plot of Ploussard grapes and never looked back. Now working 3 hectares of vines, he is producing precise but characterful wines that combine everything we love about this famous wine region. Bertie King joined the domaine in 2026 and we look forward to see how their influence expresses in the future wines.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0377/0561/3443/files/Virage_2023_Jean_Francois_Essler_Bertie_King.jpg?v=1793297275
