When he passed away in 1990, his son-in-law Jean-Claude Chanudet took over duties. Friends with Marcel Lapierre, the duo were key in the early natural wine movement but in recent years Jean-Claude has distanced himself from such labels. He also produces wine under the Chateau Cambon label with the partner of the now deceased Marcel.
