Grape Variety: Garnacha Blanca
Producer: La Furtiva (Oscar Navas)
Region: Terra Alta, Catalunya, Spain
Wild Scale: 5/5
Vegan friendly wine
Winemaking: Organic Garnacha Blanca grapes were harvested by hand and crushed before spending 1 month on the skins. Fermented with indigenous yeast. Bottled with zero fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: An orange wine for those looking for something on the wilder side! So much skinsy texture going on with pronounced favours of stone fruits and herbs. Definitely one to have alongside food such as a salty fish dish. 1,250 production and only 18 bottles came to the UK.
Notes on the Winemaker: After working with 4Kilos in Mallorca, Òscar Navas returned to his Grandmother's region of Terra Alta in Catalunya to embark on his own natural winemaking journey. His first vintage was in 2017 when he produced a single wine from Garnacha Blanca. We are following his path closely and can't wait to see what is to come.
