Producer: Maxime Woerly
Region: Dambach-La-Ville, Alsace, France
Certified Organic
Vegan friendly wine
Wild Scale: 5/5
Winemaking: Organic grapes were harvested by hand. The Pinot Gris and Muscat grapes were de-stemmed and macerated for 15 days. Blended with early picked Pinot Noir and Gewurtztraminer which were directly pressed. All fermentation with indigenous yeast. No fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: A very fun wine with a lot going on! Tropical fruit, perfumed notes and red fruit all combine for a party on the palate. It might not ever be made again as Maxime only made the blend as he was low on grapes. Snap it up!
Notes on the Winemaker: Maxime Woerly is situated on the Eastern slopes of the Voges mountains near the famous winemaking town of Dambach-La-Ville. His ancestors have worked this land since 1557 and in 2010 Maxime decided to move into organics and biodynamics.
