Winemaking: Organic Grenache grapes were harvested by hand underwent fermentation with indigenous yeast in concrete. The wine was aged in old oak barrels before being bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: Natural red wine with a light body. Delicate and developed fruit flavours of cherry and strawberry alongside bright acidity and a mineral finish. Shining now with a few years of ageing.
Notes on the Winemaker: Philippe Weis hails from Alsace but settled on the Mediterranean coast when he purchased 8.5 hectares of vines in 2004. These are located at the highest altitude within the Maury appellation (near Perpignan) which means the wines have plenty of freshness and finesse.
