Winemaking: Organic grapes were hand harvested and fermented in amphora with indigenous yeast. The wine was aged also in amphora. Bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: A dry, natural orange wine made with skin contact resulting in a hazy, bright orange colour. Pronounced pink grapefruit aromas with a touch of mango. The fruit is balanced nicely with a hint of honeysuckle and dried herbs. On the easier drinking side of orange wines.
Notes on the Winemaker: Vincent Barouillet is an eighth generation winemaker in the Bergerac / Monbazillac region south of Bordeaux who makes superb value wines from local varieties.
