Winemaking: Organic Pineau d'Aunis grapes from different plots were harvested by hand. Fermentation with indigenous yeast in open stainless steel vats. Aged in fibreglass. Bottled with no fining or filtration and just a touch of sulphur.
This Wine: Light red wine that displays all the hallmarks of the unique Pineau d'Aunis grape variety. Cranberry, raspberry and cherry fruit with a kick of white pepper. Precise and balanced.
Notes on the Winemaker: Ariane Lesne studied winemaking in Burgundy and worked on the retail side in the UK before deciding to purchase vines in the Loire Valley. She was lucky enough to get her hands on plots of Pineau d'Aunis that had previously produced a wine that she had fallen in love with.
