Grape Variety: Pineau d'Aunis, Grolleau Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon

Producer: Domaine Mosse (Agnès & René Mosse, Sylvestre & Joseph Mosse)

Region: Savennières, Loire, France

Wild Scale: 4/5

Vegan friendly wine

Winemaking: Organic grapes were sourced from a grower nearby. Direct press and then fermentation indigenous yeast. Bottled before this process was over in order to trap fizz inside the bottle (ancestral winemaking technique - Pet Nat). No filtration or fining and just a small amount of added sulphur.

This Wine: Moussamoussettes Pet Nat is back for the 2024 vintage but with a fresh new label to represent the move to a new winery. Made from negotiant fruit, this is a lively pink sparkling wine with awesome fresh fruit flavours such as pink grapefruit and blood orange. Slightly candied notes along with minerals add to the complexity. A really fun bottle to share with friends.

Notes on the Winemaker: Agnès & René Mosse established the domaine in 1999 and now the 17 hectares of vines are tended to by their sons Sylvestre and Joseph. The family produces some of the best Chenin Blancs around thanks to their meticulous biodynamic work in the vineyards and hands-off approach in the cellar.
