Grape Variety: 50% Pinot Gris, 50% Pinot Noir
Producer: Anna, Andre & Yann Durrmann
Region: Andlau, Alsace, France
Wild Scale: 5/5
Vegan friendly wine
Winemaking: Organic Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir grapes were hand harvested. Direct press and fermentation in stainless steel with indigenous yeast. The wine was bottled before fermentation was complete in order to create fizz inside the bottle (ancestral winemaking technique). No filtration, fining or added sulphur.
This Wine: This is the first vintage of a new cuvée from Yann! Pink pet nat with strawberry and red cherry flavours. Perfect for the Spring and Summer months.
Notes on the Winemaker: The Durrmann family make wine in the village of Andlau on the slopes of Vosges mountains in Alsace. The vineyards have been organic since 1998 and sulphur free cuvees have been produced since 2007 after Yann (the son) took over running the winery.
