Winemaking: Organic Pinot Noir, Regent, Sankt Laurent grapes were hand harvested. Direct press of whole bunches before fermentation with indigenous yeast. Bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.

This Wine: A natural red wine, light in body with bright, fresh red fruit aromas and high acidity. There is a tiny hint of spritz in the wine thanks to some uplifting CO2. Silky smooth texture. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Jason Bergkloster along with other local young winemakers is helping change the image of the classically conventional region of Rheinhessen. Organic farming has been the norm for the Bergkloster family since the turn of the century but since 2018, Jason has been implementing an even more hands of approach to winemaking in order to let the wines truly express themselves.
