Winemaking: Organic Pinot Noir grapes were harvested by hand. Whole bunch direct press and fermentation with indigenous yeast in stainless steel. Aged in old oak barrels for 12 months. No fining or filtration and just a small amount of sulphur
This Wine: Pure and precise Pinot Noir with the classic sour cherry notes of this famous grapes. A silky texture high acidity and an earth aftertaste add to the enjoyment.
Notes on the Winemaker: Alwin & Stefanie Jurtschitsch travelled the vineyards of the world before coming to the understanding that organic conversion was essential not just for the sake of the planet but also in order to create the most intense and terroir-driven wines. They currently own 62 hectares of land in Kamptal.
