Winemaking: Organic Pinot Noir grapes from young vines were harvested by hand. Semi-carbonc maceration in whole bunches. Fermentation with indigenous yeast in cement tanks. No fining, filtration or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural red wine with a light to medium body. This is an elegant expression of Pinot Noir that delivers far beyond its price point. Easy drinking but still plenty of complexity and character. Very small quantities available.

Notes on the Winemaker:  In 1988, Christian Venier began working 7 hectares of vines in the Cheverny appealltion of the Loire valley.  He is cousin of Thierry Puzelat / Clos du Tue-Boeuf who is located near by. Christian's wines are precise but full of character thanks to his meticulous work in the vineyard and hands-off approach in the cellar.
