Winemaking: Organic grapes Pinot Noir and Gamay grapes were hand harvested and underwent fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged in barrel and then bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: Natural red wine from the south of Burgundy with pure and fresh fruit flavours (no oak). Clean and precise but not to be taken too seriously. Excellent value for money from this great producer.
Notes on the Winemaker: Emmanuel and Patrice Guillot-Broux oversee17 hectares of vines in the Maçon, southern Burgundy. His great grandfather had first taken over these abandoned vineyards in the 1950s after the phylloxera disaster and they have been farmed organically since the domaine was properly established in 1978.
