Winemaking: Organic grapes were hand harvested and co-fermented in concrete tanks with with indigenous yeast. Aged in old oak barrels before being bottled with no filtration, fining or added sulphur.
This Wine: Natural red wine with a full body but smooth tannin. The bottle ageing has helped the fruit develop more savoury notes but the wine is still very fresh thanks to the great acidity. Complex and best served with food.
Notes on the Winemaker: Dante & Helena Lomazzi work with biodynamic practices to produce the best fruit possible. They are situated in the province of Sienna and the vineyards are located around a 16th century farmhouse where they grow indigenous grape varieties.
