Vegan friendly wine
Winemaking: Organic Sauvignon Blanc grapes were harvested and crushed before a period of skin contact. Fermentation with indigenous yeast in concrete tanks. Bottled with no fining or filtration and just a touch of sulphur.
This Wine: A fresh orange wine that is more on the easy drinking side. You might not recognise this is a Sauvignon Blanc as the usual characteristics of the grape have been transformed through the skin contact process. We got pesr drops and red apple skin! Great by itself or with a light food dish which isn't too rich.
Notes on the Winemaker: Domaine de Majas is a 30 hectare estate deep in Southern France It was founded in the early 90s by Alain Carrère who later teamed up with grower Tom Lubbe to convert everything to organic viticulture and move to towards minimum intervention in the winemaking process.
