Grape Variety: Trebbiano
Producer: Colle Florido (Andrea Ugolotti & Daniela Trolio)
Region: Abruzzo, Italy
Wild Scale: 3/5
Vegan friendly wine
Winemaking: Organic (uncertified) grapes were harvested by hand before fermentation with indigenous yeast in stainless steel. The wine remained on the skins for 1 night before ageing for 8 months in old barriques. No filtration, fining or added sulphur.
This Wine: A still white wine with sophistication and complexity. We got a real salty pineapple vibe when we tasted along with delicate floral aromas. A precise wine that will clearly age really well. Rich and rounded. Best with food. The name refers to the fact that the winemakers rent this particular vineyard from the local postman.
Notes on the Winemaker: Andrea and Daniela worked as sommeliers before laying roots in the wilderness of Abruzzo where they grow indigenous grape varieties.
