Grape Variety: Vespaiola
Producer: Marco Turco
Region: Veneto
Wild Scale: 3/5
Vegan friendly wine
Winemaking: Organic grapes were harvested and de-stemmed by hand before being fermented with indigenous yeast in fibreglass tanks. Aged for 1 year in stainless steel before being bottled with no filtration, fining or added sulphur.
This Wine: Natural white wine that is rounded with medium to full body. Mineral notes with a touch of fresh lemon and dried apricot. An interesting expression of a grape that has previously been famous for sweet wine production in this region but this is dry.
Notes on the Winemaker: Marco Turco is a young winemaker in Breganze, Veneto. This area is famous for a sweet wine made from the Vespaiola grape but Marco is moving things in a different direction with his skin contact and dry "Vespasi" wine. We are excited to see what he does next.
