Winemaking: Organic grapes were hand harvested and underwent spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeast in old barrels. Aged in barrel and then bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: 'Thousand Skins ' is a still, natural orange wine with high acidity and a rustic edge. Floral aromas sit alongside flavours of dried citrus and spice. Best partnered with food. Very dry.
Notes on the Winemaker: Verdevique's vineyards are some of the highest in Europe, sitting between 1200-1400m above sea level by the Sierra Nevada near Granada. Winemaking has been the role of the Garcia family for generations and they grow indigenous grape varieties alongside organic almonds and figs in this unique climate right next to the Mediterranean Sea.
