Chateau Baby Girl Takes You To Paradise

When our good friend Fernando Berry isn’t steering his Otros Vinos import company, championing some of Spain’s (and southern France's) most visionary low-intervention growers, he’s crafting his own cuvées under Chateau Baby Girl.

The latest arrival to our shelves is Welcome to Paradise 2025, a skin-contact expression of Xarel·lo that strikes a sweet spot between raw energy and clean precision.

• Grape: 100% Xarel·lo (from 40-year-old organic vines sourced from La Salada in Penedès)

• Process: Lightly foot-pressed and skin-macerated whole-bunch for 9 days. Fermented with wild yeast and aged in a combination of stainless steel tanks and glass demijohns.

• Additions: Zero sulphur added, unfiltered, unfined.

• Wild Scale Rating: 3/5

• ABV: 12%

Expect a medium-bodied, mineral-driven orange wine that lands with remarkable balance. Upfront you are treated to delicate stone fruit and overripe yellow apple notes, underpinned by a soft, textural grip from that 9-day skin contact.

While Chateau Baby Girl has earned a reputation for being wild and untamed, Welcome to Paradise shows off a noticeably clean, focused, and precise side of Fernando’s winemaking. It’s vibrant, refreshing, and easy to drink.
