The Return of La Bufarrella
After a 2023 hiatus, we are very happy to see the return of one of our favourite skin contact wines
LA BUFARRELLA 2024
In our opinion, this is La Salada's best cuvée (although Sota Els Ametllers gives it a good run for its money). Made from Xarel Lo grapes that see 6 months of maceration, it is full of pink grapefruit, salty orange and delicate herbal notes.
It also ages particularly well. A couple of years ago, I drank a 2016 bottle at Bar Brutal in Barcelona and it had developed notes of white pepper and complex herbaceous elements.
With that in mind, and to celebrate this wine's return, we have released a rare 2019 vintage from our cellar. Now you can experience the development for yourself.
