Wine Club 029 Winner!
Whilst some sectors of the natural wine world are getting more and more obsessed with drinking straighter and cleaner wines, it's great to see that the Highbury Library crowd are still enjoying the wilder side of life!
A 50/50 blend of Moscato and Merlot from Veneto secured the top spot at last week's Wine Club vote. Monello 2022 from Alberto Buratti aka Faedesfa just arrived with us recently when Alberto himself was in London (and paid us a visit!) so it was particularly joyful to see his wine go down so well in the bar. Grab yourself a bottle of this juicy and aromatic cuvée whilst you can!
Special mention to 2Naturkinder's Wilde Heimat 2017 that has been resting in our cellar for a few years and was greatly appreciated by Wine Club drinkers. Now showing as a mineral and savoury expression of Sylvaner with a subtle honeyed finish, this was a unique chance to taste such a wine and we still have one left in stock for a lucky customer out there.
Attendees were also treated to cuvées from legendary winemakers such as Guy Breton (Régnié 2022) Bruno Duchene (La Luna 2022) and we finished the night with Arnaud Chapuis's wild and texture skin contact, sparkling Aligoté Ouverture Maceration 2023.
New dates will be announced shortly so stay tuned and happy drinking!
