Winemaking: Organic Cabernet Franc grapes were harvested by hand before layered, whole bunch fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged for 8 months in concrete eggs. Bottled with no fining or filtration and just a touch of sulphur.

This Wine: Natural red wine made from the Cabernet Franc grapes from a famous vineyard in the region, previously called 253 when it was farmed by Philippe Gourdon. This is medium bodied with a great concentration of dark fruit and violets. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Pauline Morrain and Laurent Troubat were travelling together in Australia and working at a winery when they decided that this lifestyle would be their future. After studying in Burgundy, the couple worked with Melaric in the Loire valley and met Philippe Gourdon, the natural winemaking legend of the region. He leased them their first vines and the rest is history!
