Winemaking: Organic/Biodynamic grapes grown on schist soils were hand harvested and fermented with indigenous yeast in stainless steel and fibreglass tanks. Aged 6 months in tank. No fining or filtration and just a small amount of sulphur on bottling.
This Wine: This is a juicy a wild blend of both red and white juice. Red cherry and blackcurrant flavours are supported with zingy acidity. Great value natural wine that won't break the bank.
Notes on the Winemaker: The Ménard family produce natural wine in the heart of the Coteaux du Layon AOC in the Loire valley. The 13 hectares of vines have been certified Biodynamic since 2007.
