Winemaking: Organic Grenache, Merlot and Muscat grapes were harvested by hand and underwent fermentation with indigenous yeast. 1 night of maceration. Aged in combination of old barrels and fibreglass tanks. Bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.

This Wine: Mura Mura returns for the 2024 vintage. This somewhat iconic rosé is now darker than previous vintages thanks to the addition Mouvedre. Maybe this has also brought further complexity to the blend because, wow! Strawberry, watermelon, citrus and floral touches. A vintage to remember! 

Notes on the Winemaker: Mataburro is the project of natural winemakers Laurent Roger and Melissa Ingrand in Rivesaltes which isn't far from Perpignan in the Pyrénées-Orientales region of Southern France. They make wines with amazing freshness considering the warm Mediterranean climate. Mataburro means Donkey Killer which refers to a railway that runs through the vineyard. When it opened in 1910, a train sadly killed 2 donkeys on the first day.
