Winemaking: Organic grapes were hand harvested when very ripe. Fermented with indigenous yeast in a combination of cement tanks and old oak barrels Bottled with no filtration or fining and just a touch of sulphur.
This Wine: Natural white wine made from the hill in Colli, Friuli that runs up to the Slovenian border. This is delicate and complex with notes of white flowers, black tea and a strong mineral backbone. With plenty of refreshing acidity, this is a bottle to serve with food.
Notes on the Winemaker: The Keber family have been winemakers in the northeastern part of Italy for 350 years. Edi took over in the late 80s and replanted international grape varieties with local ones. In 2008 Edi's son Kristian took over winemaking and 4 years later they acquired 2 hectares over the border in Slovenia in order to produce a Brda wine.
