Winemaking: Organic Zweigelt and Saint Laurent grapes were hand harvested and fermented with indigenous yeast. Bottled with no filtration or fining and just a small amount of sulphur.

This Wine: Natural red wine with a medium body from Judith Beck who produces some of the best value bottles around .Dark and earthy but balanced with really bright and vibrant fruit. Touch of spice on the finish. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Judith Beck makes natural wine in her home region of Burgenland, Austria. Following in the footsteps of her family, she began working in the cellar in 2001 and helped achieve biodynamic conversion in 2007. The focus in on producing wines from grape varieties native to this part of Europe and respecting nature along the way. Only indigenous yeast is used in fermentation, there is no fining of filtration and the use of sulphur is minimal. You see the wines on restaurant menus a lot as they offer authenticity at a great price.
