Vegan friendly wine 

Winemaking: Organic grapes were harvested by hand and de-stemmed before fermentation in open top fermenter for 2 weeks with indigenous yeast. Aged in old Slovenian oak for 12 months. No fining, filtration or added sulphur.

This Wine: Complex and precise wine with a strong mineral character. Drinks somwehre between a white and an orange wine. Textured with dried apricot, subtle spice and herbal notes. Only 300 bottles produced.

Notes on the Winemaker: Aci Urbajs works just one hectare of vines near Ritnik hill in the east of Slovenia. He started using biodynamic methods in 1998 and grows small quantities of Kerner, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Blaufrankisch and Pinot Noir from which he produces profoundly complex and sophisticated wines that have reached cult status in certain circles.
