Sauvignon Blanc
Vin Blanc 2023
Clos du Tue-Boeuf
Grape Variety: Sauvignon Blanc
Producer: Clos du Tue-Boeuf (Thierry, Zoe & Louise Puzelat)
Region: Touraine, Loire, France
Wild Scale: 2/5
Vegan friendly wine
Winemaking: Organic Sauvignon Blanc grapes were sourced from another grower. Fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged in old wooden barrels. Bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: Easy drinking natural white wine from the Puzelat's negotiant project (they buy grapes from friends and then make the wine at the domain). Restrained Sauvingnon characteristics make this a classy choice with a great purity of yellow and green fruit along with a crisp, mineral finish.
Notes on the Winemaker: Thierry Puzelat is a local legend in his region of Touraine in the Loire Valley and his domain Clos du Tue-Boeuf has been organic since 1996. His daughters Zoe and Louise are now taking over the reigns. The blend of grapes in each cuvée often differs year to year as do the wines themselves and that's just how we like it.
