Winemaking: Organic Muscaris grapes harvested by hand were sourced from Ledbury in Herefordshire. 80% remained in whole bunches whilst 20% were de-stemmed and foot crushed before spending 8 days on the skins. Pressed into stainless steel tanks for fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged on the lees for 9 months before being bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.

This Wine: The rare Muscaris grape variety is a genetic cross between Muscat and Solaris. This wine sits somewhere on the white to orange scale and has a pronounced  aromatic and floral character. Lemon and grapefruit flavours are accompanied by eucalyptus, dried flowers and yep, you guessed it, Oolong tea. The impressive complexity makes this quite a serious wine and a versatile food pairing. Only 619 bottles produced.

Notes on the Winemaker:  Leisure Wine is the project of 2 friends passionate about natural wine who simply wanted to have a go themselves. They didn't let the lack of a vineyard get in their way and have been able to source high quality fruit from the UK and Italy so far. The long term plan is to grow their own grapes and continue producing natural wines with no additions.
