Vegan friendly wine
Winemaking: Organic Pinot Noir grapes grown on schist soil and steep slopes were harvested by hand. Maceration and fermentation for 4 weeks in stainless steel. Aged in tank and bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: Using his best Pinot Noir grapes from a steep slope of schist, Yann Durrmann shows a very mineral expression of the variety. A fuller body compared to his entry level with a very clean finish.
Notes on the Winemaker: The Durrmann family make wine the village of Andlau on the slopes of Vosges mountains in Alsace. The vineyards have been organic since 1998 and sulphur free cuvees have been produced since 2007 after Yann (the son) took over running the winery.
