Winemaking: Organic Pinot Noir and Gamay grapes were harvested by hand. 15 day whole bunch maceration and fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged for 8 months in old oak barrels. No fining or filtration. Tiny amount of sulphur added on bottling.

This Wine: Natural red wine with a light to medium body. This is made from Arthur and Achille's best quality fruit and serves as their top red cuvée. Delicate but complex with earthy and spicy undertones that support red and dark fruit flavours. Balanced acidity with a savoury finish, this is a serious wine that will keep getting better with time.

Notes on the Winemaker: Arthur Peltier and Achille Ravineau are young winemakers situated close to Cheverny in Touraine. This is a natural wine hot spot in the Loire that was put on the map by the likes of Thierry Puzelat / Clos du Tue-Boeuf and Hervé Villemade, both of which provided training and guidance to Arthur and Achille. Now they are making affordable, expressive wines with a focus on local grape varieties including the rare Menu Pineau. One to watch!
