Winemaking: A field blend of organic grapes from a single vineyard was fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeast. Each variety had some time on the skin. No fining, filtration or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural, skin contact wine that sits somewhere between orange and white. Full of fresh minerality with flavours of apple, elderflower, citrus and a hint of smoke. Easy drinking but with interesting complexity. Great value.

Notes on the Winemaker: Marto Wein is the project of Marto Otto Wörner and Alanna Lagamba who make natural wine in the village of Flonheim. Marto took over his father's 7 hectares vines in 2017 which has now expanded to 10 hectares. The focus is on wines made from indigenous grape varieties that give a true reflection of the vintage.
