This Wine: Natural red wine with a light body and plenty of energy. Of all the red wines from Mont de Marie, this offers the most depth and complexity due it part to the inclusion of old vine Cinsault grapes. A great balance of finesse and rustic characteristics. As with all the wines from this producer, it punches well above its price point.
Notes on the Winemaker: Thierry Forestier and his wife Marie-Noëlle are located in the village of Souvignargues not too far from Nimes in the Languedoc. They have been making wine since 2004 and focus on amazing value reds that are light and fresh despite the warm climate down here. The inspiration for this style was after meeting Eric Pfifferling of Domaine L'Anglore.
