Monteforche
Grape Variety: Moscato Bianco / Garganega
Producer: Monteforche (Alfonzo Soranzo)
Region: Colli Euganei, Veneto, Italy
Wild Scale: 3/5
12% alcohol
Winemaking: Organic Moscato and Garganega grapes were harvested by hand. Macerated for 24 hours before fermentation with indigenous yeast concrete tanks. Aged in steel for for 1 year before being bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: Natural white wine with a touch of skin contact that creates a medium, textured body. Precise and balanced with white peach, citrus and floral notes. Great by itself but can be paired with vegetables or white meat.
Notes on the Winemaker: Alfonso Soranzo farms just under 5 hectares of organic vineyards in northeastern Italy. Just like his family before him, he produces honest and rustic wines from these volcanic soils in the Colli Euganei.
