Winemaking: Organic Sauvignon Blanc grapes were harvested by hand. Direct press before fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged in a combination of fibreglass tanks, steel and neutral oak. No fining or filtration. Small amount of sulphur on bottling.
This Wine: Natural white wine with a medium body. A refined expression of the grape with subtle topical notes alongside bright citrus and floral elements. Less of the green notes and more of a riper style whist still remaining fresh. As clean as a whistle.
Notes on the Winemaker: Marie comes from a natural wine lineage that connects her back to Marcel Lapierre. He father released publications on the legendary Beaujolais winemaker and she even assisted in a number of harvests at the famous domaine back in the 1990s. Initially following her father's footsteps in publishing, she eventually decided to become a winemaker herself in 2018. All fruit is purchased but predominantly from the same organic grower that she is close to so she knows the vines like they are her own. The wines are clean and precise with a wonderful purity of fruit.
