Winemaking: Organic grapes grown on clay-limestone soils were hand harvested. Carbonic maceration and fermentation with indigenous yeast in stainless steel. Aged in tank on the lees for 8 months. Bottled with no filtration, fining or added sulphur.

Notes on the Winemaker: Jean-Pierre Rietsch is a natural winemaker in the village of Mittelbergheim, Alsace. His estate has been in the family for seven generations but wasn't used for vine cultivation until the 1970s. He has garnered a reputation as a legend in this area and when you try his wines, you'll see why. From rich and complex Riesling to traditional method sparkling wine and skin contact cuvées, his wide range has something for everyone.
