Winemaking: Organic Grillo grapes from 30 year old vines from a single plot were hand harvested. Direct press before fermentation in glass vessels with indigenous yeast. Aged in these demijohns for 9 months. No filtration, fining or added sulphur.  

This Wine: A special cuvée from Nino made in very small quantity. Precise and elegant white wine that is mineral focussed with subtle stone and citrus fruits. That classic Sicilian salinity also shines through. Only available in magnums with hand drawn designs.

Notes on the Winemaker: Nino Barraco is a natural winemaker in Sicily who has is dedicated to showing that his home region of Marsala is not all about sweet and fortified wine. He showcases the strengths of local grape varieites sich as Grillo and Catarratto by producing intense, dry wines that instantly evoke a sun-baked, Mediterranean vibe.
