Vegan friendly wine

Winemaking: Organic Chenin Blanc grapes were hand harvested and underwent fermentation with indigenous yeast. The wine was bottled before fermentation was complete in order to trap fizz inside the bottle (Pet Nat, Ancestral winemaking techniqe). Disgorged by hand. No filtration, fining or added sulphur.  

This Wine: 2022 was the first year that Mai & Kenji produced a Pet Nat. Very fresh, mineral and saline sparkling wine with great acidity. Can work with out without food. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Mai & Kenji Hodgson work 4 hectares of vines in Rablay-Sur-Layon. They met in Vancouver before studying winemaking in Japan, eventually settling in this area of the Loire valley. Their wines are impeccably made without any additions yet this is even more potential over the coming years.
