This Wine: 2019 Trousseau that is absolutely shining at time of writing (October 2024). Wild but beautifully balanced with intense red fruit and a pronounced herbal character.

Notes on the Winemaker: Philippe Bornard founded his domain in 2005 in the Jura village of Pupillin. The wines he produced became iconic, both for their striking orange fox labels and their wild, expressive character. Philippe retired in 2017 and his son Tony took over the running of the winery after combining it with his own smaller operation to achieve 11 hectares of vines.
